What is the referral program?
Rula’s therapy provider referral program gives current Rula providers the opportunity to earn a reward when they invite their colleagues to join Rula.
If eligible, once the referred provider completes their first client visit, we’ll send both the referring and referred providers $500!
How do I start the referral process?
To get started, sign up using the form above to receive your unique referral link.
Once you have your link, you can invite your therapy colleagues by sharing it via email, social media, or text message.
Important! To ensure your referral is tracked — and you remain eligible for the bonus — your referral must sign up using your unique link before signing a contract with Rula.
Who can I refer?
You are welcome to refer any licensed therapy provider who has not yet joined Rula (i.e. has never signed a contract with us before.)
This includes Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCC), and Licensed Psychologists.
Can I refer a psychiatric provider to Rula?
At this time, we are only able to accept provider referrals within the same program. This means:
- Therapy providers can refer other therapy providers
- Psychiatric providers can refer other psychiatric providers
What are the required steps to receive the referral bonus?
In order to be eligible for the bonus, the referred provider must:
- Sign up using your unique referral link
- Be new to Rula — they must sign up before signing any contract with us
- Complete onboarding and see their first client within 90 days of signing their contract.
Additionally, the referring provider must be and remain an active Rula provider throughout the entire referral process in order to receive bonus.
When and how will I receive the referral bonus?
After your referred provider completes their first client visit, we will review the referral. If approved, we’ll send both the referring and referred providers $500 via direct deposit in 1-2 pay cycles. To view Rula’s pay calendar, click here.
Is there a limit to how many providers I can refer to Rula?
Nope, you can refer as many providers as you’d like to — as long as they are providers you actually know.
What happens if someone else has already referred the provider I was going to refer?
If multiple people refer the same provider, we will honor the first valid referral we received.
- Each referral nomination is valid for six months from the date it is submitted.
- If the first referral doesn’t qualify within six months, the next eligible referral will be considered for the bonus.

How can I check the status of my referrals?
You can see all of your referrals and their current status by logging into your referral program portal. This is accessible on the form listed above.
I referred someone verbally but they forgot to use my unique referral link to sign up. Can I still receive credit?
Unfortunately, we are only able to honor referrals made through your unique referral link. In order to be eligible for the referral bonus, the referred provider must sign up using your link before signing any contract with Rula.
This step is necessary to accurately track and attribute referrals through our system.
That said, if there are extenuating circumstances, please contact our team at support@rula.com. While we cannot guarantee an exception, we will review the situation.
My referral signed their contract before I could share my link. Can I still receive credit?
Unfortunately, we are unable to honor late referrals. To be eligible for the referral bonus, the referral must be submitted before the referred provider signs their contract with Rula.
This timing is necessary to accurately track and attribute referrals through our system.
That said, if there are extenuating circumstances, please contact our team at support@rula.com. While we cannot guarantee an exception, we will review the situation.
